The CX78+ Wireless Gamepad is a recreation of the radical two-button controller Atari released with the original 7800 in Europe. Wirelessly connects to your new 7800+ and 2600+ AND it works with original 2600 and 7800 hardware using the included DB9 wireless adapter. You can even connect it to a PC with the included USB-A adapter.

Fantastic Wireless Controller

This controller actually came bundled with my 7800+. Let me tell you, it is awesome and totally worth purchasing. It has great wireless reach and no lag. Super clicky and fun! I highly recommend it.

The Coolest Retro Game Pad

I think this is better designed aesthetics of a retro controller. I always thought the grey NES controllers where ugly. This feels like a designer congtroller. With the optinal **** in joystick (which takes some time to get used to) it works great. The bluetooth is very responsive. Will use this on my other retro hardware emulators.

Love it

Great old-school feel. The wireless feature works great, and the responsiveness is spot on (after updating the system to the latest firmware). The removable thumb stick is a really cool add on, one that I'm shocked wasn't adopted by other companies, and it makes controlling certain games much more fluid.

Works great. Layout is similar to an original NES controller. So those of us Gen X and Xennials that went from the 2600 over to an NES back in the day will feel right at home playing with this guy. I even ordered a second one so that I can play 2 player games with the family. No issues using two wireless controllers at the same time.

Super user-friendly - just plug in the receiver and it links right up. They aren't kidding when Atari states this is a "faithful recreation" - the look, feel, and even interior plastic molding all match the original Euro design. Definitely recommend this to anyone without!
